91 Days to go!!

Not that I'm counting or anything....ok so I'm totally lieing here. What bride doesn't count down the days til' she will be married to her best friend, her other half!! Normally I'm pretty mellow about stuff like this. I know I was with my wedding with Daniel...in fact I was more scared than anything, excited for the day but uncertain about any time afterwards. That makes my wedding with Daniel sound awful and well...it wasn't awful but it definitely wasn't worth remembering much of. Which in my case is actually the truth. Haha! I found it kind of sad at first that I couldn't remember my wedding day that happened years ago and as things have happened I began to see it as a blessing.

Now that I'm planning for not only the happiest day of my life, but the happiest future that I can imagine I am thrilled and can't seem to get enough of the little details that goes into the planning of a wedding day and ultimately our future. Interestingly enough Jake and I have spent more time so far actually planning for the after wedding life then the actual wedding day. Which I believe is wise and feel good about our discussions that we have had. For example before we even went to visit my parents in Utah so that Jake could ask for my fathers blessing we had purchased a book called the 300 ?'s every LDS couple should ask before getting married. If I have mentioned this book before please excuse my bad memory. This book goes into great detail of what each of you expect in your life together. Kids, finances, who's job is who's, etc. I would recommend the book to anyone thinking of getting married to see if your are as capable as your heart thinks you are. In fact your more than welcome to borrow ours...we didn't write in it for the very purpose that others could use it as well. :)

Jake and I have planned out a great life together and I'm so looking forward to the day when we are able to close the door behind us and walk into a room with all of our things in it and call it Our Home. Where I will be completely his and he will be all mine, but until that day... I guess I now actually have to start planning for the actual wedding day. Thankfully the big things are mostly done. We have our engagement pictures done...one of them us up above. We have our place and our just in case of bad weather set up as well. We have announcements being worked on, and my dress mostly worked out. Now for the nitty-gritty stuff like the food, decorations, who's in our lines, gifts, bridal showers, luncheons, announcements, registrations, etc. etc. I'm learning that I have much to learn when it comes to planning a wedding. I don't remember any of this from my last experience so I feel like a little kid learning how to ride a bike.  I feel a little bit overwhelmed with having no real budget, but I'm excited to make it a unforgettable day. Bring it on!!
